How To Be a Better Dad
A new installment in the Priceless Series of advertisements from Master Card. This one effectively captures the urgency to act on climate change and what the new generation of kids do to make the planet a better place to live in.
In this day and age where corporations have been much maligned for putting the corporations interests ahead of everything else, it is good to see somebody practicing good corporate social responsibility.
This is how the advertisement goes
Water Glass - $5
Energy Saving Bulbs - $4
Reusable bags - $2
Helping dad become a better man - Priceless

A Case Study in Bad Marketing
The below video produced by Rafael, an Israeli Defense Company, is a case study in "What Not to Do When You are Marketing a Product". For three long minutes you are not sure what this video is about.
This video was shown at Aero India 2009 recently.
After watching this video, if I were AK Antony I would not want to trust the defenses of my country to whatever the company is trying to sell, however good the product may be.

Uncertain Times Call for Innovative Measures
Whether you are a consumer or a producer, these are uncertain times. Consumers have stopped spending on any new purchases whether be it big or small. Sales of new cars have dropped to a trickle. Just ask the GM, Ford and Chrysler. The government is trying to do its part to boost new car sales by making sales tax on cars tax deductible. But what are the car manufacturers doing on their part to boost sales?
Just watch this Hyundai commercial to find out
Its not just car companies that are targeting consumers in these desperate economic times. Home builder, Toll Brothers, is offering a mortgage protection plan where it will pay 6 months of mortgage upto $2500 for home-buyers who lose their jobs.
Certainly, uncertain times do call for innovative marketing techniques.
